WEY EDUCATION

Illustration system creation and designs for social

Branding - Illustration - Design

The Brief

Wey Education is an online British education group offering their educational services worldwide. It is made up of sub-branded schools aimed at different audiences with InterHigh providing online learning for ages primary to sixth form level

Working alongside a social media strategist, we were tasked with creating informative, engaging and enticing content for InterHigh's social channels - targeting both the students as well as the parents - which followed their InterHigh brand guidelines, whilst also forming a new, consistent visual graphic style.

The Illustration System

Using the bold colour palette as a key feature throughout, I developed a flat, rounded illustration style, using fluid lines and shapes to provide friendly, relaxed and inviting illustrations which neither looked too 'young' or too 'grown up' for the wide-ranging target audience.

Characters display positivity, energy and warmth, with still objects also being used in an animated style.

The banks of InterHigh illustrations ensure a consistent brand style is being adhered to. They also allowed us to locate visuals to be re-purposed for other formats or designs and help when new illustrations are needed, providing a visual guide to create to.

The Illustration System In Use

By using an illustration system to create uniform visuals in one brand style, using one defined colour palette, we create a consistent appearance, working seamlessly together; therefore improving the overall user experience and engagement and building trust in the brand.
